Merchandiser (Full-time) – South Bend/Granger, IN

What We’re Looking for:

What You’ll Do (and more):

• Successfully plan and execute visually appealing, seasonally relevant, and on-brand floor displays that attract customers and drive sales.
• Maintain the high standards of Wanderlust Outfitters regarding store cleanliness, organization, and the presentation of merchandise.
• Collaborate with the team (Sales Manager, Supervisor, Receiver) to resolve operational, sales, merchandising, and inventory issues.
• Maintain excellent customer service while merchandising.
• Work regular sales shifts, including weekends and black out dates.
• Provide staffing coverage for absences.

This is a full-time position (30+ hours a week) reporting to our Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have availability on weekdays, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Previous retail experience required. Previous outdoor industry sales experience is strongly desired.
BS or BA in Fashion Merchandising, Visual Merchandising or Merchandising highly recommended but not required.

Compensation: $17-21/hr + bonus potential (Commensurate w/experience)

Receiver (Full-time) – South Bend/Granger, IN

What We’re Looking for:

Our ideal candidate has demonstrated retail experience, an appreciation for the outdoors, and a strong commitment to teamwork. The ideal candidate will be able to execute the daily receiving workflow  and provide excellent customer service when providing sales floor support.

What You’ll Do (and more):

• Receive freight and count boxes as they arrive.
• Meet key organizational metrics — including daily receiving quotas.
• Check-in boxes and receive products against purchase orders.
• Label products and check for any discrepancies.
• Processed merchandise for the sales floor.
• Execute monthly cycle counts, help with annual cycle count.
• Work regular sales shifts, including weekends and black out dates.
• Provide staffing coverage for absences.

Physical Job Requirements: Must be able to regularly lift boxes that are 11 – 25 lbs & occasionally lift heavier boxes.

This is a full-time position (30+ hours a week) reporting to our Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have availability on weekdays, holidays, and weekends.

Retail Supervisor (Full-time; year-round) – South Bend/Granger, IN

What We’re Looking for:

Our ideal candidate has retail experience, demonstrated leadership skills, an appreciation for the outdoors, and a strong commitment to teamwork. 

What You’ll Do (and more):

Sales Floor Leadership

• Drive a high volume of retail sales to help achieve monthly corporate goals.
• Model excellent customer service & possess advanced product knowledge. Serve as a gear expert and pack fitter.
• Lead the sales team on select shifts, including key weekend hours.
• Support and train sales associates.
• Work regular sales shifts, including weekends and black out dates.
• Provide staffing coverage for absences.

Shift Management

• Provide daily direction of tasks and deliverables for the sales team (rotating lunches, executing floor standards lists, promotions, special projects, sales goals, etc.)
• Ensure Wanderlust Outfitters floor standards are kept (nicely folded piles, clothing sized, displays dusted, etc.)

Training

• Assist in completing team member training packets
• Serving as a mentor for the Wanderlust Pack Fitting Certification program
• Assist with specialty training (ex. Superfeet, Brannock, shoe technology, apparel technology, gear technology, etc.)
• Stay informed on brand technology updates and new product explanations

This is a full-time position (30+ hours a week) reporting to our Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have availability on weekdays, holidays, and weekends.

• Assist shoppers with selecting the right outdoor gear and apparel
• Operate our point of sale system
• Assist in processing product shipments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor
• Support the team during busy weekends and holiday events

This is a full-time position (at 30+ hours a week). The ideal candidate will have availability on weekdays, holidays, and weekends. Opportunities for advancement available.

Compensation: $13 – $16 an hour (commensurate with experience).
